Wellbeing Coordinator
Hello!
My name is Mrs Bell and I am the new Wellbeing Coordinator in school.
You may have already spotted me on the gate in the morning and I will continue to be there should you wish to speak to me about your child. I am in school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, continuing the work Mrs Walker used to do with 1:1 support, small group sessions and whole-school projects.
Previously I have worked at Menston and Ashlands Primary Schools supporting children with a variety of Special Educational Needs, gaining experience and qualifications along the way. I have a particular interest in neurodiversity, communication difficulties, and emotional regulation. Following Covid, I did my mental health support training through Place2Be and Young Minds to expand my ability to help children.
I am passionate about teaching children how to understand and manage their emotions, and I see behaviour as a form of communication. I believe building positive relationships and taking a proactive approach are the best ways to help children stay mentally healthy.
Feel free to come and say hi!
